Peplums, Prints and the Perfect White Heels

So... I may have a slight addiction to those Miss Selfridge Victoriana-style peplum shirts I first showed you in this post... Last week, I invested in the monochrome floral printed version, reduced even further in the sale (seriously, it's getting silly now!) - aside from polka dots and stripes, I'd come to the unnerving realisation that I didn't own a printed shirt, so, clearly, this was a problem requiring immediate rectification, and I couldn't resist the '70s feel of this floral motif.

Meanwhile, having scoured the streets and web all year for a chic-yet-wearable-yet-non-extortionately-priced pair of pointy white court shoes, and finding that all viable contenders appeared to sell out within seconds of touching down, I found these Boohoo gems. I love the open-sided twist, and the heel height is perfect - not too low, but not crippling! Personally, at 4 inches, I'd still call them "high" rather than "mid" height, but it depends on your personal definitions, I guess! Pretty sure these will be a recurring summer hit, but here they are in their debut role...

The shorts are a past-season Primark classic - I have them in plain black, too, but never can resist a monochrome print clash!

Shirt: Miss Selfridge (seems to be sold out online now, but may still be available in some stores), Shorts: Primark (Past Season), Shoes: Boohoo (Available Here)

Have you been tempted back to eighties Essex by the shoe of the season yet?
